I had a 1st winter Rose-breasted Grosbeak on Sun. Sept. 16 at the Bean Lake cabin. This bird really puzzeled me for a little bit but Sibley's book really helped to ID it. We had adult RB Grosbeaks in the spring time so was happy to see this youngster. Still have the Red-breasted Nuthatches. Frances Cramer Platte County [log in to unmask] Note: forwarded message attached. Two rose-breasted grosbeaks at the feeder today. Both looked immature, one had some rosy tinge to the breast and more black and white in the wings. Kathleen Anderson, Columbia --------------------------------- Tonight's top picks.
