MOBirders,

I called Squaw Creek today hoping to get permission to walk out on the dikes for better viewing of shorebirds and got a shock. Squaw Creek received 4.1" of rain last night and flooded the area. The Auto Tour drive is under water and all shallow areas are now full of deep water -- too deep for most shorebirds -- and the refuge is closed.So. . . unfortunately, this field trip is cancelled.

  Maybe next year . . .
