Early this morning I went to Walter Woods CA, just four miles south of
Joplin, Newton County.
In the parking lot there were three Pine Warbler, a Yellow-throated Warbler
and a vireo singing that wasn't a Red-eyed. (Blue-headed = Solitary)?
Unable to locate it and
then I got called away, so just there 15 minutes. I was off to a good
start. I'll play my vireo tapes later.
Later this morning, at 400 S. St. Louis, (Ozark Mem. Park) there were two
adult Mississippi Kites overhead. So, had an ok morning. Maybe kites have
been around all summer and they just successfully eluded me. The few other
birders here don't report them so I assume that they are not seeing them
either.
Good birding, Larry H. Joplin (Jasper County) MO.
