Today in Nodaway county I saw 2 Olive-sided Flycatchers and had a brief look
at one Empidonax. Also, I saw a Philadelphia Vireo, a Northern Harrier
(male), several large flocks of Eastern Kingbirds moving south, a Snow Goose
(blue, probably present all summer although it looked healthy), Northern
Mockingbird, Loggerhead Shrike, and Sedge Wrens. A pair of Northern
Cardinals were copulating, rather late in the season.
