I just learned today that the TRSW that returned again this year persisted and hatched out one young one. The nest was flooded again this Spring after one egg was layed. The landowners retrieved the egg and raised the nest up. The adult pair stayed around the area and eventually returned to the nest where they now are proud parents once again. They ended up with three eggs but only one hatched. Don't know if it was the original egg or one of the others? Anyway they named the baby Lazurus. It is very unusual that they would renest again in the same year.
