Hello Birders,

Contrary to popular belief the NEOTROPIC CORMORANT is
still present in Madison County, IL, as of July 3. I
observed the bird over lunch today (~11:30) with Mark
Paradise. The bird was in the same group of trees it
was originally found in by Frank Holmes on June 28.

From IL-203 take Big Bend Road east. The bird has
been in a large tree with some dead branches at the
top of it out in front of the house that is before you
get to the railroad tracks.

Here is a picture of it yawning for you non-believers:

Have a happy and safe 4th of July!
