The numbers of Blackpoll and Yellow warblers at Lake Contrary, Saint Joseph, (between the lake and the river) have subsided somewhat since the count which was done on last Saturday. However, this morning I counted 12 Blackpolls and 10 Yellow Warblers in this same area. Also, in the mix were Red-eyed, Warbling and Philadelphia Vireos, lots of Orchard and Baltimore Orioles, Least, Acadian and "Traills" Flycatchers.

The Grasshopper Sparrows have returned to the pasture grassland around Muskrat Lake. I also counted 85 Yellow-headed Blackbirds at the "horse, pony, llama, donkey, etc" enclosure on Crockett Road. (This is the road that goes by Muskrat Lake.)
