Forgot to mention 1 cattle egret that we saw going in to Eagle Bluffs, but had moved and we did not see it on the way out.

We saw the whimbrel on the way back to the Sapp Tract. (You can drive all the way to the back of the Sapp Tract.) When we came out, we could not locate it. I would add to Bill's report:

black-bellied plover - 3 (one in breeding plumage and 2 that were just getting some black on belly.)
In Pool 8

Saw 1 bald eagle in vicinity of the nest, so maybe the family survived the storm and flood.

At mid morning today at Eagle Bluffs CA Tim James located a Whimbrel
standing on the road with the closed gate of the second on way loop.
We watched it from the road with the open gate giving us excellent
views of the head stripes.

At pool 8 the mix of shorebirds continues to change. Most of the
peeps were Least and Semipalmated Sandpipers. Forster's Tern were
still present.

Semipalmated Plover 5
White-rumped Sandpiper at least one identified.
Short-billed Dowitcher one
Lesser Yellowlegs 3

I finally saw the Western Kingbird on a power wire along Star School
Road on the way out after Kathleen and Harold Anderson reported it as
they drove into Eagle Bluffs.
