2:30 - 4:30 PM Sunday

Pool 8: on newly exposed mudflats, a rapidly changing group of
shorebirds is building up or moving around the whole area.

4 Black-bellied Plovers
4 Stilt Sandpipers
12 Ruddy Turnstones in full breeding plumage
15 Semipalmated Sandpipers
5 Least Sandpipers
2 Spotted Sandpipers
7 Lesser Yellowlegs
3 Forster's Terns

A total of about 7 Forster's Terns at EBCA moving about diving for fish.
As the water continues to drop more mudflats will be exposed. These
next few weeks, as well as the rest of the summer should be good for
shorebirds.

One of the one-way gates was open to the Sapp tract again. There is
still lots of water but some mud flats should open up in a day or so.
