Dear birders,

Be aware that there is a fine print fair going on at the Mercantile Library
on the UMSL campus this weekend, ending at 5:00 today. Admission is $15.

This is a nice opportunity for naturalists with a cross-over interest in
art, as there are many botanical and bird prints to choose from. The first
dealer to your left as you walk in, The Philadelphia Print Shop, is offering
smaller Audubon prints of birds and mammals at affordable prices, in the
neighborhood of $200. Of course, if you happen to have $26,000 to spare, you
can also buy his stunning elephant folio print of the Goshawk! I also saw
attractive color lithographs of birds for under $100.

Just wanted to alert you to this event, as the beautiful weather this
weekend has diminished its attendance to an embarrassing trickle. For those
of you who have never crossed the threshold of this great and gracious
library, it is also a chance to see their permanent display of art and
Americana.
