Remarkable work, as always, Rickard. Perhaps mention
that "sovegna vos" also is used in 4Q.

Perhaps one of the reasons Eliot was so strident in his reaction to the
Peters
essay, is that implications of homosexuality simply disrespected the very
special feelings for and friendship with Verdenal.

The memory of lilacs associated with a dead friend might
also conjure up the Whitman use of lilacs for the memory
of the assasinated Lincoln.
