After hearing waterthrushes were seen at Tyson yesterday headed down to
Castlewood SP this eve to see if any had dropped in.At least 1 bird was singing
along Kiefer Creek.
Actually it was extremely birdy down there this eve with other spring
migrants such as a purple martin, several tree swallows and a few rough-wing
swallow flying up and down the river
Barred Owls were vocalizing from the hillside draws at 415.
Fish crows back in numbers.(stop counting after 10)
Winter wrens are peaking with 3 this eve
 Towhee singing behind the office

No red-shoulder hawks which was a surprise. The great weather also brought
out mucho numbers of hikers, bikers and dog walkers.

Lots of other emerging critters
calling spring peepers, grey treefrogs, garter snake.A mink was foraging along
the creek
