Thursday (3/8) Doris Fitchett & I went to Thompson River Wetlands northwest of Chillicothe to listen for Woodcocks just as the sun went down.  As advertised, we heard four, two of which whizzed past us with only inches to spare, landing 15 or so in front of our spot.  They put on a real show.  What a sight!  

Today I had my FOY Eastern Phoebe at our cabin in northwest Livingston Co.  This is the usual time, from the 10th to 13th.  

I still haven't seen a Turkey Vulture even though my husband saw 4 here on Feb. 28.  

Oh, the sounds, sights, smells and, yes, Margy, even the tastes of Spring!!
