Thousands of redwings. Wide variety of ducks in ponds in the corn fields:
ruddy, scaup, possible ringneck, blue-wing teal, shoveler, bufflehead,
mallard. Also coot, blue phase snow geese. Saw 1 meadowlark, heard a few
more. One kettle of turkey vultures (7). One n. Harrier, and one adult
bald eagle flying like a harrier -- not sure if it was after a rabbit, coot,
????? Also saw a few coyote trotting along the levee-top path.
Quite a contrast from the weather last weekend.
