I had about an hour late on Thursday to stop by Grand Pass CA and did a
circle clockwise loop. The snow goose presence was absolutely amazing.
I guestimate about a half million birds equally divided between the
ground and the air. Lots of easily seen ducks of all kinds present.
Shorebirds have started to arrive: 100s of Killdeer, 5 Pectoral, and 2
Baird's Sandpipers. Four Brewer's blackbirds were wading the shoreline
with the redwings, and one American Pipit was on the mud lined shore in
the corn fields too. Lots of sparrows, pheasants courting in the road.
