If they are really impossible to distinguish they are probably not real species.  These people sound like fairly extreme splitters.  A measurable genetic difference is not any real evidence for speciation.  
On the other hand you can probably start worrying about distinguishing Eastern and Western Marsh Wrens since they probably could both appear hear in migration and that is very likely split.
