Dear MoBirder's,

I was out at Bradford Farm, Boone County this afternoon (2:00-2:45ish) and
found a Hawk that I had Never Seen before..., so I Followed it around... Once
I had several Good Looks at it, and Noted it's Unusual Markings (Large Dark
Patches at it's "Wrist" under it's Wings, and a Black Band at the end of it's
Mostly White Tail...) I checked my Field Guides and it turned out to be a
ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK!!! Lovely Raptor!!! Later on, after checking the Brush
Pile (Many Meadowlarks, Northern Bobwhites and Sparrows...), I saw another
Hawk that also appeared to be a Rough-Legged, but with slightly Different
Markings (a few more Bands on the Mostly White Tail and it's Colouring was a
little Darker overall)...??? So, there may be two of them out there... I also had
2 Red-Tailed Hawks, 2-3 Northern Harriers and an American Kestrel.

Also went out to Eagle Bluffs CA, Boone County. The Office Birdfeeders
were "Crazy" today, with 18-20 Species (2 of them I Never could Figure out
What they were...???) and LOTS of them!!! Eagle Bluffs itself was pretty quiet,
though I came up with 18 Species as well, nothing too Exciting, though there
was 1 Killdeer (back on the Ice at Pool 14), 600+ Red-Winged Blackbirds (they
were Everywhere!!!), and around 300+ Canada Geese... Very few Ducks
(Gadwalls and Mallards only) and No Belted Kingfisher...

Very Cold Day, but Pretty Good Birding none the less...!!! Please Take Care.

Yours,
Jonathan B. Pons
Columbia, Boone County
