I enjoyed participating in the backyard count--first time I've been
able to. Couldn't find either of the Hermit Thrushes I'd seen before
the big snow. Did have some "fun" birds.

Snow Geese over Stephens Lake Park
149 Canadas at Twin Lakes (after the great goose removal program)--
some smaller ones, but no Cackling
A Cooper's Hawk at home and at Eagle Bluffs
Sharp-shinned Hawks at Antimi Lake and at Twin Lakes
Yellow-rumped Warbler for 2 days at feeder (actually at the water)
Ruby-crowned Kinglet all four days at feeder--likes that lard,
cornmeal, peanut butter mix
Rough-legged Hawk at Eagle Bluffs

Also at Eagle Bluffs (couldn't find snipe or killdeer):
  Northern Pintail
  Hooded Merganser
  Wood Duck (a pair)
  Lesser Scaup
  Canvasback
  American Wigeon
  Ring-necked
  Northern Shoveler
  Gadwall
Mallard--couldn't pick out a Black Duck

2 Cackling Geese

Also, 122 Green-winged Teal yesterday that were not there on Sunday.
Data base for count has not accepted them--"out of range for the date."

Full reports for all but home reports are in CACHE.
