Steve Dilks called to say he found the Lark Bunting near Dudley at 12:30 p.m. today (Saturday). He said Joe Eades was also there when they found the bird. Steve recommends parking in the first MDC parking lot of Oak Ridge Conservation Area on your left from Dudley. He recommends no pishing as that seemed to scare all the birds from coming out to feed. He said a telescope is helpful to view the birds in the grassy field. The Lark Bunting came out to feed with other birds right along the roadside and then up into some small trees in the weedy ditch. He noted the buffy wing patch which was missed when Bill Reeves and I viewed the bird. If further directions are needed (from those listed earlier) you may call me at 573 756-5484 or at my e-mail address listed below.
