St. Louis area birders/year listers:

IL birds:
Carlyle Lake seen this weekend. Note LONG-TAILED DUCK.

Melvin Price Dam (Riverlands)
Monday (viewing conditions were rough - high winds and cold)
- at least and maybe two 1w-2w GLAUCOUS GULL
- possible (!!) 1W GREAT BLACK-BACKED GULL

MO birds:
Columbia Bottoms CA, St. Louis co Monday:
- MERLIN - along the new gravel road
- thousands (!!) of black colored birds to pick through.
- didn't see the Screech owl
- With all the open water in the waterfowl refuge area THEN (no guarantees 
with present temps)
400-500 Greater White-fronted geese
about the same # of Snow geese with a couple of ROSS'S GEESE in the mix
and thought I had two CACKLING GEESE as well, but not 100% sure
Note the geese are not as easy to see as Baldwin Lake but the drive is MUCH 
shorter.
- ducks: Mallards, Gadwall, Shovelers, AMERICAN WIDGEON (several), NO. 
PINTAIL,
heard Green-winged teal.
NO Prairie falcon for me.
