Made a quick run to THR to try out my scope (love it!) and to see what the
open water held in the way of birds...
 
The north end of the reservoir (north of Highway T) is frozen. South of the
causeway, the reservoir is completely open. 
 
In my experience with the reservoir, I found what I consider to be large
numbers of mergansers!
 
HUNDREDS!
 
Gravel roads are ice-covered and slick. Storm front moving in tonight that
is likely to drop 2-5 inches of snow. Many areas will be inaccessible after
the snow fall. BE CAREFUL!
