On Dec. 26th, I spotted two Short-eared owls at dusk.

But, on another note, the owner has been having vandalism problems.  He came
flying up the road to get my license number, etc...  I then identified
myself and we talked for awhile.  They are fine with birders viewing and
even said, if they knew who was back there, would give permission to go
further than the road.  This is just a heads-up for those going down McComas
road.
