I was at Squaw Creek NWR on the morning of 1/11 and saw the same bird
species listed by Larry Lade for that day. In addition, I saw about 20 American
Coots, a Red-tailed hawk, and a pair of Northern Flickers. It was a great day
to be out on the refuge -- so glad I made the trip before this arctic weather
set in. For the next few days, I'll have to be content checking out the
different species that the cold brings to the backyard.
