I figured I'd post this on the listserve because I know some people 
from farther south might be coming up north to see the Hoary Redpoll in 
IA this weekend... the roads in north central MO are in pretty bad 
shape.  There has been a steady freezing mist for the past 3 or 4 hours 
and cars (and pedestrians) are sliding around all over the asphalt.  
Salted areas are OK, but there is black ice (thin and invisible) over 
just about everything else.  With MO weather it could be fine 20 miles 
east or west of here, but you never know.

Conditions may change if it heats up a little this afternoon or if the 
forecast changes, but I thought I'd let people know that the roads are 
not in very good shape right now and I would advise being VERY cautious 
if conditions do not change.
