Saylorville is close to Dallas Center, where the redpoll is being seen.
There have been sporadic recent reports of a Kittiwake there along with one
or more Lesser Black-backed Gulls.

I don't know how much coverage Red Rock Reservoir, near Pella, IA, gets at
this time of year, so the absence of recent reports from it may or may not
mean anything. I remember that a Mew Gull was reported there earlier in the
fall. I also remember my own trip there 12/31/90. The lake was frozen, and
there were only three individual gulls left in the outlet channel -- a
Kittiwake, a LBBG and an Ivory Gull. If I were going anywhere near Red Rock
Reservoir, I'd check the dam and the outlet channel.
