Hello Mobirders....

I received an e-mail that Beverly Yates had RED CROSSBILLS at 2 p.m., Saturday, 12/23.

The birds were at the Large Animal Enclosure at Fleming Park in Lake Jacomo (Jackson County). They were first in a deciduous tree directly over the elk in the corner of the enclosure. Then they flushed to the pine trees with large cones, just south of the enclosure. They eventually flew off to the east but the pine trees looked loaded and will probably tempt the birds back when there are fewer people milling around.

  Happy Holidays to All!
