This will be boring to most everyone except me.

Nice raptor week in our backyard here in suburban/urban Joplin MO.

A Great Horned Owl was calling Sunday evening.
Two Barred Owls visited the yard Monday morning at 2 AM.
A Red-shouldered Hawk has visited the yard each morning this week.
Kevin states he saw it take a Northern Cardinal early this morning.
An adult Cooper's Hawk froze everyone in place this afternoon.
We used to have a Screech Owl box. It wore out and fell down.
A Screech Owl came around for several winters and evicted the
gray squirrels but only during bad weather. He or she liked it
elsewhere during dry weather and the squirrels could have it back.
So doing pretty good for raptors just sitting here at the desk this week.

Good birding, Larry H. Joplin (Jasper County) MO.
