I birded Thousand Hills State Park (Adair Co.) for a little while this
afternoon. Not too much around, but there were numerous Golden-crowned
Kinglets and a Red-breasted Nuthatch in a pine grove... it always
amazes me that Kinglets can stand such cold weather!

On the lake there were 6 or 7 Bald Eagles, about 30 American Coots, 8
Hooded Mergansers, a Ruddy Duck, and a few Pied-billed Grebes. I also
had both Sharp-shinned and Cooper's Hawks today... the latter of which
was being harassed by a couple Blue Jays in a conifer near my apartment
parking lot. Full data will be on SPARKS later.
