Thanks Julie and Patrick for putting your thoughts regarding the Birdpods on line.

Hope any other replys on the subject will also go to list.

I would like to learn more about this 'gadget'.

PS. Georgia and I enjoyed our volunteer day at the Squaw Creek NWR yesterday.
We've done this on the day after Thanksgiving for a number of years and always have a very good showing. Our visitor count (those actually coming into the center) was 275+.
Am sure we missed some. Charlie M. said our sales figure (above $550) was the highest yet for the year. Eagle Days this weekend will probably top that.

I have been considering getting a Birdpod for quite awhile. I know several people that have Birdpods or palm pilots with bird recordings that seem to have various problems with the devices, such as low batteries. Does anyone have advice on how to manage them so they really work all the time. Reply offline or online if you think others are interested.

Thank you, Kathleen Anderson, Columbia
