Here is a list of the birds we banded today on the campus of Missouri Western State University.
   
  Blue-headed Vireo (a stunner!)
  Red-eyed Vireo
  Winter Wren (I think we had banded five or six of these this year)
  Gray Catbird (don't forget to wash you hands, Jack, when you get home!)
  Orange-crowned Warbler
  Nashville Warbler
  Song Sparrow
  Lincoln's Sparrow
  Swamp Sparrow
  Dark-eyed Junco (slate-colored race)
  Northern Cardinal
  American Goldfinch
   
  *a couple of recaptured (already banded birds): Carolina Wren and Northern Cardinal
