   From supposedly to fact is apparently a short hop. Wasn't Eliot 
separated for many many years when Vivienne died? What's the surprise then 
about the memorial? It seems to me if you (in general) look for a National 
Enquirer angle on everything, you find it, even if you have to create it; 
another pitfall of "biographical criticism."
