MoBirders,

Tom Bormann and I birded the 79 corridor and had 19 species of shorebirds today. In addition we had a northern harrier and 4 sandhill cranes at the Kings Lake unit of BK Leach.

We had both a male baltimore oriole and a male blue grosbeak at BK.

Had 23 grasshopper sparrows in the early morning rain.

Black tern, caspian, forester's at Windfield, along with sanderlings and 2 willets on the island. Had 4 willets in the slough, plus some more sanderlings, western, stilts, phalarope. Had golden-plover and buff-breasted at the sod farms.

Good pics of the sandhills.

Good birding
