I guess I'm still getting used to retirement: I usually delete these
messages because I won't have time to check out these places. But I may
have time now! So, now I"m wondering where the Keeteman Rd. sod farm is.
I'm sure I've read it many times before, but didn't pay attention. So how
about one more time--directions to the Keeteman Rd. sod farm. Thanks guys.

To keep you all updated:
TWO WEEKS and counting.........
SWALLOW-TAILED KITE still here.
Seen by the WGNSS group not until after Noon at the Magic Gate (off of Hwy
D, the Road that goes directly past Busch CA). .

I left early to see what was up Hwy 79
Keeteman Road Sod Farms:
FINALLY saw 3 BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPERS, one UPLAND SANDPIPER in amongst the
hundreds and hundreds of Killdeer. Observed from Glacial Sand Road about a
few hundred yards past the storage building for the sod farm. Workers were
out and mowing, so the birds were getting pushed around a lot.
The Killdeer were also crouching in the grass, so there might have been a
raptor around making them even more skittish.
Dave Rogles also found an AMERICAN GOLDEN PLOVER. He saw the buffies (maybe
more) but no Upland.

Good birding.
