I stopped by Tower Grove Park this morning on the way to work.
There was a Mississippi Kite soaring above the open area by the
bathrooms on the west side of the park. It perched for several
minutes on an exposed branch. When it took flight a kestrel
noticed and began harrassing it.

There are huge piles of mulch on the east side of the park, the
remains of downed trees I imagine. The oak grove isn't as shady
as it used to be, and the entrance to the bird garden is blocked
by broken branches.

The bubbler is dry - I'm not sure why that's the case if there's
power throughout the park.
