Since luck seemed to be on my side today, I did some more birding this
afternoon.

First stop Western Kingbird at 2nd and Barton, St. Louis city with what I
believe is evidence of successful nesting.

Then I took Jackie's lead and tried her spots in Franklin Co. Robertsville SP
did not disappoint me with drop-dead close-range scope views of Henslow's Sp.
and Prairie Warbler. Note to you photographers out there...very cooperative
birds.

Then on to Labadie where a Lark Sp. was waiting on a wire for me as if
ordered up for room service!

Finished up close to dusk at the Chubb trail, where I added a few more birds
to my day list, including:

Fish Crow
Pileated Woodpecker
Cerulean Warbler (at least 2 heard)
Kingfisher
Barred Owl
Red-shouldered Hawk
Wood Thrush
Red-eyed Vireo

Headed home after watching the sun set over the Meremac River, and the C.
Nighthawks greeted me, calling above the house.

Nice end to a great birding day.
