He was seen today by Janice, Sandy and me at 1:45pm at the Glade sign and Bench on Racoon Run Trail. (Another trail comes in from the left.) He was flying across the Glade and across the meadow that the bench faces where he perched at the very top of a cedar tree and sang for several minutes before returning to the small upright oak right next to the trail. He sat on the topmost dead branch on the right side of the tree for long enough for three workmen to get good looks at him after hearing so much about "birders on the trail that supposedly is closed."
