I had a night meeting to cover, so I took off work early and headed to Lost
Valley Trail in St. Charles County to kill some time.

I had many white-eyed vireos, a couple of chats, a Kentucky warbler, parula,
a couple of blue-winged warblers, and other interesting birds.

The best find though was this fella:

I then headed to Katy Trail Weldon Spring Access and did not find the
painted bunting. That's four tries and no luck for me this year on the
painted. Did find two lark sparrows perched on a wine.
