I decided to take a shot at the painted bunting at the Weldon Spring Katy
Trail access in St. Charles County off Rt. 94 after work Wednesday. No
painted bunting, but many indigos. Also there were three lark sparrows at
the far end of the parking lot. There was also a pileated woodpecker in that
same area. There was a red-headed woodpecker near the boat launch.

I then stopped briefly at the Blue Grosbeak Trail, I found the Bell's vireos
and some field sparrows and brown thrashers. Dickcissels were also there.

Later,
