After a late work day, I found two yellow-crowned night herons off Collinsville Road just east of Illinois Route 203. Also, in the duck impoundment, visable from the road to Walker Island at Horseshoe Lake, I saw two gadwall and an American wigeon. Isn't it late here for those two species?
