Four ASM birders joined me for the Boone's Crossing trip in the afternoon of
May 6. Thanks to Mike Doyen's ears a lot of birds were heard, but not too
many were seen.

Highlights:

Baltimore Orioles: saw at least six and Mike thinks that we heard up to 30
Warbling Vireos: at least 30-40 heard and a couple seen
Swallows: we had a grand slam on St. Louis area swallows, Tree, Bank,
Rough-winged, Barn and Cliff. (What the latter was doing flying around the
Monarch levee is beyond me.) The Bank Swallows are nesting in the bank of
the slough of the MIssouri River.
