Thursday evening Denny Donnell found a Common Moorhen at Eagle Bluffs
CA, Boone Co. I relocated it yesterday evening and Jean Leonatti
refound it a few minutes later.

Directions:

On the main road, go downriver from the cormorant trees and past the
gated levee that divides the Distribution Channel.

In this section of the Distribution Channel there is a lone willow
tree, then a patch of willow trees, just before the curve in the road.

Stop just beyond the lone willow. Look toward the far bank of the
Distribution Channel. There is a good-sized patch of green reeds and
just below it, a patch of yellow reeds. The moorhen sometimes
parades in front of the green reeds, sometimes is feeding in the
reeds. Sora are also present, as well as a few coots.

Good birding!
