Due to some improvements that the City of Chesterfield has made we now have much more convenient parking and directions to the Boone's Crossing Unit of the Big Muddy NWR. If you are coming on the WGNSS/SLAS trip Sunday morning follow these directions: To get there from mid-St.Louis County, take Hwy 40 (I-64) to the Boone's Crossing exit in Chesterfield Valley. Take a right at the light at the top of the ramp and you will quickly come to a T at the north outer road. Go left, west, 2.7 miles to the road that goes up and over the Monarch Levee. Stay to the right as you go over the levee and on the other side you will see a big parking lot on the right.
