I birded Eagle Bluffs CA (Boone Co.) from 11 to 2:15.
Began with walk along river. Nothing to add to Jean Leonatti's post
Saturday. Did see and hear Warbling Vieros (FOY for me), 2 Yellow-
throated Warblers, many Northern Parulas. Could not find Wood Thrush.

A controlled burn is ongoing near/in Pool 2 & 4--first one-way loop
not accessible. Sure hope the burn will result in some shorebird
habitat. Corn stubble makes lousy mudflats. Very little shorebird
habitat out there. The Sapp tract has some, but is marginal for most
shorbird species.

Did find 1 Spotted Sandpiper, 2 lingering American Golden-Plovers
(may be health problem with one), 2 Semi-palmated Plovers. Met Mike
Doyen on the levee. He had seen one Willet, and had heard Virginia
Rail near outhouse.

One Broad-winged Hawk flew over.

Full species list will be in CACHE.
