English is a lifelong learning process -- especially for a second-language
learner.  Here's an attempt at self-correction. The correct usage is:

"enter into a diatribe against" or "enter into an argument with".

The error is regretted.

Hello Ken,

I'm extremely sorry, I got you wrong.
You had entered into a diatribe with an opinion,
not with a person. And there was much substance
in your argument. My sincere apologies.
