Hello all, in between waking up and taking a shower I went over to the sod
farms near Old Monroe. At the beginning I saw 2-Golden Plovers, along with
many snipe and killdeer. At Winfield there were many hundreds of pelicans
and gulls. Also along the slough were purple martins, tree swallows, and 10
or so species of waterfowl. The slough is up so not much shorebird habitat.
In a field near Winfield I also located one American Pipit along with many
horned larks and killdeer.

Good Birding,
Eric Schuette
