While the four of us were birding the Spring Creek road as it meanders through the Valley of the Moon Farm which is now part of the Danforth properties we came across a pair of E. Phoebe working an area of water crest along the bank of the creek. Other birds of interest included both Red Tailed and Red Shouldered Hawk, Gold crowned Kinglet, Hermit Thrush, Hairy WP (2), Cedar Waxwing, Turkey Buzzard, and for the exception of one small flock of White-throated Sparrows and a couple of Junco not a sparrow was seen all day. All the regulars were in the area but all in all the birding was very quiet. But then again a pair of E. Phoebe makes up for a lot in February.
