Dianne and I drove through Eagle Bluffs CA this morning on the way home from a meeting in Jeff City yesteday. Saw the two Mute Swans and most of the other waterfowl reported recently but not the juvenile Swans. Don't know if they left or were just hiding out some where out of site. I was surprised to see a lone Least Sandpiper on mudflats with a dozen or more Killdeer. This was in the far southeast part of the area.
Watched an immature Bald Eagle flyby and then saw an adult standing on the nest. A short time later another adult flew to the nest with some small branches.
There were several Yellow-rumped Warblers along the Katy trail near the bridge over Perche Creek.

  Later, Steve Kinder, Chillicothe
