Subject: [ia-bird] Snowy owl at Lake Rathbun

Paul Egeland a ranger at the Corps of Engineers at Lake spotted a snowy owl
at Prairie Ridge camping area today at 11:15 AM. Tom Johnson and my self
verified the sitting at 12:45 PM. The bird is sitting on top of a utility
pole about 75 yards East of the shower house.

The direction are :

South on Highway 5 to Moravia turn West(right) on J18 (formerly Hwy 142);
West on J18 to 200th Ave; turn South (left) on 200th Ave to Prairie Ridge
Turn East(left) as soon as you pass the toll house at the entrance to the
campground. The shower building is on the North (left) side of the road.
Park on the South side of the building.
The pole with the owl is about 75 yards East(right) of the shower building.
