Actually, today hasn't been bad for birding and I've only managed to do 3
1/2 hours worth.

I started the day at Winfield looking for the prairie falcon again, but to
no avail. I then hit St. Charles County off Highway B and Riverlands (those
locations from 7 to 10 a.m. before coming in to work)and then did a little
city birding (on a break from work).

I'm up to 41 species so far and that list doesn't include some species that
I'm sure I would have gotten if I had more time and could hit just two more
places where I've got birds staked out.

Best birds of the day so far: great-tailed grackles and rusty blackbirds in
St. Charles Co. (Thanks Charlene), two large flyover flocks of snow geese,
peregrine falcon at Riverlands, and Eurasian-collared dove in South City.

Later,
