BIRDED Farmington and hawn state park today...had total of 44 species....usually get about 34 birds on avg this time of year...so was good start to the year....best bird was the ruby-throated hunningbird still at the feeder in farmington...other notables were
  TURKEY VULTURE 2
  HERMIT THRUSH 1
  EASTERN PHOEBE 2
  COOPERS HAWK 1
  FIELD SPARROW 8
  SWAMP SPARROW 2  (FIRST SWAMPS FOUND IN THIS AREA SINCE SPRING )
  YELLOWBELLIED SAPSUCKER 3
  COMMON GRACKLE 200+ ( UNUSUALY HIGH FOR THIS AREA )
  KILLDEERS 3
  I tried to pull a rusty out of the flock but no luck.....i plan to try for the TOWNSEND in the morning.....and then go to riverlands for gulls and ducks which i dont get in my area 
  except mallards and canada.s
